Why did I choose a Doctorate of Chiropractic or DC? While attending the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, I worked in healthcare with a local hospital in Little Rock. Out of all the fields I could have considered studying, I chose Chiropractic on one simple principle…because it just made the most sense. You don’t put anything in or cut anything out of a person and you are still able to help make people well by treating the “Total-person” or using a holistic approach to healing–which combines elements of the mind, body and spirit. After graduating from Parker Chiropractic College in Texas, I soon returned to Arkansas and worked for a community health care facility in Kensett, providing holistic Chiropractic care.

I’ve had the great fortune during my healthcare career to work and interact with a variety of medical staff, executives, physicians, community leaders, and those close to me personally–and from each of them I have learned that it is our humanity that leads us to healthcare, where we experience great rewards and occasionally, significant challenges. By holding firm to our purpose of improving the lives of others, because of our common identity as humans, we take part in some of the most purposeful and worthwhile work there is, making a difference in the lives of the patients we serve, in the community we live. Having experience in building relationships with this diverse medical community, I am better able to communicate with the medical profession, physician to physician, care-giver to care-giver, providing the greater good for our patients. I would love to build bridges in health care, where there are many barriers, so we can best serve our patients. My role as a Chiropractic physician in the Searcy community has provided me not only exposure to a wealth of educational and networking opportunities, but also terrific career guidance and standards for being a healthcare professional.

The DC credential after my name, is one example of these standards. I am proud to be a part of a profession whose Code of Ethics is fundamentally entrenched in its endeavors–and adhering to the Code and achieving such standards is fostered and recognized by the patients I serve. I could have not chosen a better profession to contribute my God given talents to my community and feel both fortunate and blessed to have made a difference in the lives of many, in my family and my community. This is why I have chosen Chiropractic and why you should consider me for your holistic healthcare needs.
